About Lingvano
At Lingvano, our mission is to break down language barriers and build bridges between Deaf and hearing people. We do so by creating easy-to-use sign language and Deaf culture lessons.
Role Overview:
We have achieved a 3-million learners milestone, we are looking for a Learning Content Specialist to help us stepping up the Sign Language Learning Experience. If you are Deaf, an active member of the US Deaf community and have experience in In-App teaching, send us your application today.
You will play a role in learning content creation within the app but also outside of the app, hosting Live Learning Events and expanding our sign language portfolio.
What you will do:
Develop engaging learning content for the Lingvano sign language app, ensuring high linguistic and didactical quality.
Design, manage, and occasionally host live learning events (workshops, webinars, signing practices), both online and in person.
Create teaching materials and oversee quality management processes for both app and live learning formats.
Support and guide freelancers in content creation, acting as a point of contact and ensuring adherence to Lingvano quality standards.
Contribute to the expansion of our sign language portfolio across app and web platforms.
Continuously improve the learning experience in collaboration with an international and diverse team of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and hearing professionals.
Job requirements
What you should bring:
Being a Deaf or Hard of Hearing person.
Fluency in ASL and written English; knowledge of other sign language(s) of advantage.
3+ years of experience in sign language teaching, didactical know-how and creating learning materials.
Experience with Microlearning and In-App teaching.
Adaptability, flexibility, creativity and open-mindedness.
Drive to look for way to continuously level up the Lingvano learning experience.
Ability and willingness to work in a remote setting.

This position is intended to be a permanent, full-time (40 hours/week) and to start by the end of August. The right fit is essential for us so even if you cannot start immediately, we still encourage you to apply.
